UAE-IX Peering Workshop & Cruise: Event Highlights
On November 7, we arrived in Dubai to participate once again in the annual UAE-IX Peering Workshop & Cruise. This year’s event was more than just networking—it was a celebration of MENA’s growth as a digital hub. Here’s why it was such a standout.
This year, MENA has hosted several major international events we've attended—no coincidence, as we’re actively expanding in the region. From launching new scrubbing centers to building partnerships, our presence here continues to grow.
In early November, we joined the annual workshop in Dubai, a gathering spot for interconnection industry professionals. Attendees included representatives from both local companies and international firms developing internet infrastructure across the Middle East.
It was great to reconnect with familiar faces from last year, as well as meet new participants joining for the first time. We had valuable discussions with companies eager to protect their clients from cyber threats, especially the rising tide of DDoS attacks.
DDoS attacks have emerged as one of the most critical threats to businesses in the MENA region in recent years. According to our Q3 2024 report, the UAE is among the top ten most targeted countries, with a marked increase in multi-vector, carpet bombing, and complex attacks. This rising trend is driving demand for stronger defenses, aligning with our mission to empower organizations in the region with effective, resilient solutions that safeguard their operations and reputation.
As the threat landscape evolves, we’re dedicated to providing local businesses with the advanced protection they need. Our team is always ready to share our expertise and support companies in building robust defenses against these growing cyber threats.
