Never Off Guard: How We Helped Turkish Provider Netviser Mitigate a 3 Tbps DDoS Attack
For a network security provider, uptime is more than a technical metric — it is a promise made to every customer.
When that promise is broken, the consequences ripple far beyond a single network. Data centers lose connectivity, SaaS platforms go offline, gaming services become unavailable, and businesses face lost revenue, frustrated users, and reputational damage.That is exactly the kind of situation Netviser was determined to avoid.
But in 2024, the Turkish security provider suddenly found itself facing an unexpected challenge. Its previous DDoS protection vendor discontinued service just as attacks against its customers were becoming larger and more frequent. With its previous provider discontinuing service, Netviser urgently needed a new protection partner.
This is the story of how StormWall helped the company withstand a massive 3 Tbps DDoS attack, restore stability, and transform enterprise-grade DDoS protection into a key part of its managed services business.

Netviser — network security and infrastructure solutions provider, Türkiye
Customer networks across data centers, SaaS platforms, gaming companies, and enterprise environments
Customer: Netviser
Founded in 2021, Netviser has quickly established itself as a trusted provider of network security and infrastructure solutions in Türkiye. The company delivers network infrastructure, data center connectivity, and managed security services for enterprise customers.
Its clients have one thing in common: uninterrupted connectivity is essential to their business.
Whether it’s a data center hosting critical infrastructure, a SaaS platform serving thousands of users, or an online gaming company where milliseconds matter, even a short outage can lead to financial losses and damaged customer trust. Ensuring continuous availability has therefore become one of Netviser’s core responsibilities.
Challenge: Finding Protection When It Was Needed Most
Netviser’s previous DDoS protection provider announced it would discontinue its service, leaving the company without a long-term defense strategy at exactly the moment when attack volumes were rapidly increasing.
This wasn’t simply about replacing one vendor with another. Netviser needed a partner capable of protecting not only its own infrastructure, but also every customer depending on it. And the threat landscape left little room for compromise.
Its customers were regularly targeted by large-scale UDP flood and SYN flood attacks. The largest incident reached approximately 3 Tbps — far beyond the capacity that any individual network could absorb on its own.
As volumetric attacks continue to grow across hosting providers, gaming platforms, SaaS businesses, and data centers, Netviser needed a globally distributed mitigation platform built for attacks measured in terabits, not gigabits.
“For a security provider, being caught without protection is the one scenario you can never allow. When our previous vendor stepped away, we needed a partner we could rely on for the long term — one with the capacity to absorb terabit-scale attacks,” says Sinan Şen, Co-Founder & CTO of Netviser.
Solution: Choosing a Partner for the Long Run
Netviser evaluated several enterprise DDoS protection providers before selecting StormWall.
The decision wasn’t based on mitigation capacity alone. The company was looking for a partner that combined powerful attack filtering with fast, knowledgeable technical support — because during a live attack, response time matters almost as much as mitigation capacity.
StormWall stood out thanks to:
enterprise-grade BGP-based mitigation;
rapid response from the engineering team;
detailed attack visibility;
a scalable platform that could grow alongside Netviser’s business;
a partner program designed for managed service providers.
Instead of choosing a solution that met today’s requirements, Netviser invested in a platform capable of supporting tomorrow’s growth as well.
“We looked at several providers, but StormWall gave us both the mitigation strength and the responsiveness we needed. The visibility into attacks and the partner program made it clear this was a platform we could grow on,” says Sinan Şen.
Fast Deployment, Zero Disruption
Switching protection providers could easily have become a lengthy migration project. Instead, the transition took less than an hour.
Working together, the StormWall and Netviser engineering teams completed the BGP integration quickly and smoothly, allowing customer traffic to be protected almost immediately without prolonged downtime or operational disruption.
From Customer to Partner
The relationship didn’t end after deployment. Around a year ago, Netviser joined the StormWall Partner Program and integrated enterprise-grade DDoS protection into its managed service portfolio.
Today, the company protects more than 10 customers through StormWall, including data centers, gaming companies, SaaS providers, and enterprise organizations.
As awareness of cyber risks continues to grow, demand for managed DDoS protection has increased as well. Building its services on StormWall allows Netviser to expand confidently without introducing additional operational complexity.
Results: Passing the Biggest Test
Soon after deployment, the new partnership faced its first real challenge. A new massive DDoS campaign peaked at approximately 3 Tbps too, targeting Netviser’s infrastructure.
StormWall engineers responded immediately. Mitigation was activated, malicious traffic was filtered, and services were restored within a short time.
Since deploying StormWall, Netviser has achieved:
reliable mitigation against large-scale DDoS attacks;
rapid technical support during live incidents;
improved service availability;
stronger customer confidence;
a scalable protection platform ready for future growth.
“For us, DDoS protection is not just about mitigating attacks; it’s about ensuring uninterrupted business for our customers. StormWall has become a trusted extension of our security services, delivering reliable protection, rapid support, and the confidence our customers expect,” says Sinan Şen.
For providers supporting data centers, SaaS platforms, gaming companies, and enterprise networks, availability has become a competitive advantage — and protecting it requires more than simply filtering malicious traffic.
It requires a partner capable of handling attacks measured in terabits, responding immediately when incidents occur, and scaling alongside the business. That’s exactly what Netviser found in StormWall.
