We’re excited to introduce StormWall Appliance, our new software solution for on-premises DDoS protection. Built on 13 years of experience in cloud-based DDoS protection, it brings StormWall’s protection technologies directly into your own infrastructure. Traffic is processed locally and stays within your network perimeter.

StormWall Appliance is designed for organizations that need direct control over traffic processing and want to keep data within their own infrastructure. It is a good fit for hosting providers, ISPs, telcos, banks, and other organizations with stringent requirements for traffic-processing speed, data security, and infrastructure availability.
Deploy on the Servers You Already Own
StormWall Appliance follows a bring-your-own-hardware (BYOH) model, so you can deploy the software on servers you already have without purchasing dedicated hardware for the solution.
This gives organizations more control over where traffic is processed while making it possible to use their existing infrastructure for DDoS protection.
Protecting Network Infrastructure at L3–L5
With StormWall Appliance, organizations can protect their infrastructure against a wide range of network-layer DDoS attacks at Layers 3–5 of the OSI model. The solution filters volumetric floods, TCP stack attacks, reflection and amplification attacks, as well as attacks targeting DNS services and gaming protocols.
StormWall Appliance can also detect and filter attacks carried over encrypted TLS and QUIC traffic without decrypting it. At the core of the solution is high-performance packet processing based on DPDK, combined with StormWall’s proprietary traffic-filtering algorithms.
On-Premises and Cloud Protection in a Single Architecture
StormWall Appliance can work as a standalone solution or alongside StormWall’s cloud services. In the latter configuration, the on-premises solution filters traffic directly within the customer’s network infrastructure, while the cloud platform can provide L7 protection and handle attacks that exceed the capacity of the customer’s network connection.
This allows organizations to keep traffic processing local while adding cloud-based protection when needed.
One License, Everything You Need
StormWall Appliance is available under a simple and intuitive software licensing model, with two options: a perpetual license or an annual subscription. Pricing is calculated individually based on factors such as active port capacity, the number of installations, and the selected support tier. Single license covers full functionality, no need to purchase anything separately.
Deployment can take as little as one day. After installation, customers can test StormWall Appliance free of charge for up to 30 days using their own traffic.
For isolated networks without internet access, we also provide offline licensing using a hardware key. Product demonstrations are available upon request.
24/7 Technical Support
StormWall Appliance comes with three levels of technical support: Basic, Advanced, and Private.
With Private support, the StormWall SOC provides 24/7 oversight of the protected infrastructure and handles key protection tasks, including developing and configuring filtering rules, mitigating attacks, and investigating incidents around the clock.
“For 13 years, we have been developing our cloud-based DDoS protection platform, and our clients have repeatedly asked us for an on-premises solution. StormWall Appliance is our response to this demand. Organizations can now deploy protection directly within their own infrastructure while maintaining control over how network traffic is processed. We believe StormWall Appliance will become a valuable tool for protecting organizations against DDoS attacks of varying scale and complexity,” said Ramil Khantimirov, CEO and co-founder of StormWall.
