Growing Further — Launching a Scrubbing Center in Miami

We continue to scale our global filtering network, now adding a new scrubbing center in Miami.

New Traffic Scrubbing Center in Miami

The new PoP has been launched at the Equinix MI1 data center. The equipment is already connected and fully operational. This means that all StormWall solutions — including DDoS protection for websites, networks, and servers, Antibot, and WAF — are now performing even faster and more efficiently.

The decision to deploy additional filtering capacity in the United States was driven by two key factors. The first is the steady growth of DDoS attacks in the country, as well as the consistently high position of the US in our rankings by the number of global bot traffic sources. The second factor is the needs of our customers who are building and scaling their businesses in the United States and neighboring countries.

“The United States consistently ranks among the top-3 countries in terms of DDoS activity, and our task is to be as close as possible to both our customers’ infrastructure and attack sources,” comments Ramil Khantimirov, CEO and co-founder of StormWall. “Thanks to the new point in Miami and our overall expansion strategy, we maintain our key advantage in the fight against cybercriminals — the highest possible response speed to escalating cyber threats.”

The launch of the traffic scrubbing center in Miami is an important milestone not only for StormWall, but also for all our customers. We have ensured:

  • More effective threat localization: Attacks on your resources originating from North and South America are now mitigated closer to their sources than before.
  • Maximum stability: We guarantee minimal latency for legitimate traffic and the highest level of fault tolerance for customer infrastructure — locally and across our global network.
  • Increased overall filtering bandwidth: By continuously expanding the capacity of our entire network, we are able to mitigate even the largest DDoS attacks.

Miami is an important step, but far from the last one in StormWall’s network expansion plans. In 2026, we plan to launch our next US filtering point in Los Angeles. We will share more details about it and other scrubbing centers very soon — stay tuned to our blog.
