StormWall has released an update for Network Protection. The Protection section now includes a new feature called Geo Filter. StormWall clients can now easily filter traffic based on locations.
Geo Filter
The geo filter feature allows you to control incoming traffic from different countries. With this update, you can customize filtering rules based on locations and enhance the security of your network by providing easy traffic management based on geographical parameters.
How It Works
The geo filter consists of four main columns:
- “Prefix” includes subnets owned by clients within our system.
- “Countries” displays all locations for the incoming traffic to client subnets.
- “Status” indicates whether traffic from specific geolocations is allowed or blocked.
- “Description” allows clients to add necessary descriptions for rules for further use.
You can access and edit geo-filtering rules through the client dashboard. To configure the rules, follow these steps:
- Navigate to the Geo-Filter section within the Protection tab.
- Select the subnets for which you want to configure filtering rules.
- Choose the countries for which you want to allow or block incoming traffic.
- Set the status for each rule.
StormWall clients now have the ability to control access to their resources from different countries independently. You can allow or block access to users from specific locations, enabling the filtering of unwanted traffic during network attacks.
