StormWall Enhances DDoS Protection for Companies in the Middle East
We continue to expand our global traffic filtering network. This year, we opened a new scrubbing center in Dubai (UAE). It will help us protect clients in the MENA region faster and more effectively.
Hacker activity in the Middle East and North Africa has significantly increased. According to our data for the second quarter of 2024, the number of DDoS attacks in the region has risen by 211% compared to the same period in 2023.
According to the same research, the volume and complexity of DDoS attacks are steadily growing all across the MENA region. In order to help local companies effectively counter these threats, StormWall is actively scaling up and improving the quality of its services in the area.
As a result, in July 2024, we launched a filtering point in Dubai. The eighth StormWall scrubbing center is located in the modern Etisalat SmartHub Fujairah data center, recognized as the largest Internet hub in the UAE.
In the Asia-Pacific region, we provide DDoS protection solutions for websites, networks, and TCP/UDP services, as well as anti-bot and WAF services. With the new scrubbing center, we have improved the quality of our services. Our clients now have access to:
- Increased network capacity: Our solutions can mitigate even the most powerful DDoS attacks.
- Faster incident response: With local traffic filtering, we can respond to DDoS attacks even quicker.
"Given the rapid development of digital infrastructure and the growing attractiveness of the Gulf countries for cybercriminals, scaling StormWall in this region is a logical and strategically important decision for us," says Ramil Khantimirov, CEO and co-founder of StormWall.
"Enterprises in the UAE and Saudi Arabia need reliable security solutions to combat the increasing number of DDoS attacks. And this is exactly what we provide."
We continue to further expand our global filtering network and improve our technical arsenal. Recentlywe have significantly upgraded our network infrastructure in Frankfurt am Main, Germany. And two more scrubbing centers are on the way in 2025 — in São Paulo, Brazil, and Jakarta, Indonesia.
