StormWall's New Point of Presence in Sofia, Bulgaria
StormWall expands the geography of its scrubbing points — on July 17, the installation of our filtering infrastructure in Sofia, the capital of Bulgaria, was completed. The new scrubbing point has become the seventh in a row and is located in Telepoint Sofia Center (122 Ovtche pole Str.).
Telepoint Sofia Center is one of the largest data centers in Bulgaria, providing services to major local operators. The Tier II certified data center meets quality control and security standards and offers low-latency connections to its clients.
The addition of the new local point of presence will allow StormWall to:
- Increase the bandwidth of its global filtering network to mitigate powerful attacks.
- Lower the latency for clients in Eastern Europe, Turkey, and the Middle East.
Previously all of the StormWall's customers' traffic in the above mentioned regions went through a point in Frankfurt, however with the launch of this new filtering point in Sofia, we are now able to filter traffic locally and provide our clients with even more effective StormWall protection with minimal latency.
